Anderson Tanoto
Anderson Tanoto drives programs focused on forging international partnerships with reputable universities and developing leaders of the next generation. Championing sustainable development and the localization of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), Mr. Tanoto helped launch the SDG Academy Indonesia in Jakarta, the first in the region.
An economics graduate from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Anderson is active in the fiber business of Royal Golden Eagle (RGE), where he serves as Managing Director and Executive Management Board member.
In 2019, Mr. Tanoto was recognised alongside Belinda Tanoto by Forbes as one of Asia’s Heroes of Philanthropy, for their philanthropic work through Tanoto Foundation.
In May 2018, Mr. Tanoto was appointed Chairman for the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s (KADIN) Brazil Committee and is also its representative to Canada. He has held memberships in the Tropical Forest Alliance 2020’s Southeast Asia Regional Committee, Wharton Executive Board for Asia, and the World Economic Forum’s Global Agenda Council on Forests (2015 to 2016).
